Sell voice and audio recordings to AI companies: 11 buyers, what they pay, on what terms
The list holds 11 data buyers for voice and audio recordings. None publishes a rate per hour or per minute of audio. The figures on record are shares and totals. Defined.ai says content owners get "20 to 30% of deal value". ElevenLabs Voice Library quotes "creator-set price tiers; $22M+ paid out by May 2026". Kled AI says "top contributors ~$7k/month". Troveo AI reports 4M hours of audio in its catalog, with no audio rate.
Three editor's picks open the list. ElevenLabs Voice Library licenses non-exclusively, pays a share of usage, sets no minimum, and opened a Music Marketplace in Mar 2026. David AI records paid speakers by the hour and sells multi-year licenses by use case, on exclusive terms. Luel pays contributors per task, also on exclusive terms, and publishes no rate. Mozilla Data Collective holds 1,700 datasets in 450+ languages and says paid licensing is coming.
Seven of the 11 license non-exclusively. David AI and Luel are exclusive, and Protege and Human Native AI vary by deal. In the contract, separate a training license from a voice clone that earns on use, and check whether derivative voices are covered. Get consent from every speaker on a recording. Ask whether the buyer wants raw files or cleaned, transcribed audio, and check the license term; David AI sells multi-year licenses.

Find your buyerFAQ
How much do AI companies pay for voice and audio recordings?
No buyer here publishes a per-hour rate for audio. ElevenLabs lets creators set their own price tiers and reports $22M+ paid out by May 2026. Defined.ai pays content owners 20 to 30% of deal value. Kled AI says top contributors earn about $7k a month.
Can I sell the same voice and audio recordings to two buyers?
Seven of the 11 buyers here license non-exclusively, ElevenLabs and Defined.ai among them. David AI and Luel take exclusive rights to what they collect. Protege and Human Native AI vary by deal.
What about copyright and model rights?
Every voice on a recording needs consent, guests and co-hosts included. ElevenLabs pays a share of usage when its users generate speech with your voice. A training license is a separate grant, so check which rights the contract names.
